Process Excellence Roadmap or PE Maturity Roadmap

Process Excellence Roadmap

The Process Excellence Roadmap is a must-have powerful tool used by top companies to achieve process excellence or operational excellence.

The Process Excellence Roadmap takes its cue from the organization’s strategy to achieve excellence. The strategy and aligned priorities are broken down into “bite-size” milestones which may span several years to achieve excellence. These milestones are defined maturity levels.

While the organization’s leaders set the strategic agenda, the achievement of these strategies is accomplished through well-oiled processes. It is the leaders of these core processes that set define the maturity levels and the timeframe for each level’s achievement. Typically the highest level leader of a particular core process is referred to as the Enterprise or Global Process Owner. In most cases, this is a double hat role occupied by company leaders.

It should go without mentioning that in order to achieve the organization’s strategic intent, the core process that delivers it must not only be known but correctly mapped and measured. Only then can multi-tier process owners be appointed and the process commences its shift toward its excellence level.
